Olympic sized trap bar is perfect for deadlifts, also known as a hex barbell or dead-lift bar, it engages all the same muscle groups as a standard barbell, but keeps the weight closer to the body. This allows you to use more of the quadriceps to lift the bar, keeping the stress off your lumbar spine. Joinfit dead-lift bar’s hexagonal design and knurled, neutral grip handles help ensure the lift is centered and not off the axis, which can happen in a traditional straight bar deadlift. Using a Olympic hex bar you can often go heavier on deadlifts, leading to greater muscle growth over time.

    This bar is an overbuilt beast! It’s got tons of room for plates on the sleeves (see pics with 3 plates loaded for an idea of the amount of space). Welds are all solid.

    I bought this specifically for farmers walks and couldn’t be happier. This bar has plenty of room and when gripping the lower handles it rides at my hip height so no interference with my legs at all!

    The knurling is great, exactly what I expect from a bar meant to be used in pulling heavy weight. It’s a deep cut (as others point out, the high handles are slightly less aggressive). I pulled 420lb today (low handle grip) as a test and felt no slip in grip at all – in my opinion this is great knurl for slow heavy pulling.

    This thing is monstrous in every way; not attractive due to simple chrome finish but highly functional with deep, effective knurling on the thick handles. The welds are thick like how we did them in welding shop, for extra strength and insurance; no cracks, it’s all solid and beastly. For less than HK$2K this is definitely worth it.

    I have long legs & have rubbed my shins before with a regular bar. Also have a sciatica issue that hasn’t allowed me to do squats without hurting for days, which has turned me off of doing them. This bar has been a dream for me. With this bar I can do deadlifts, farmers carry, & shoulder shurgs. The only pain I had was from using my leg muscles again (sore). No back pain which is a blessing. Love my new toy!

    This is a pretty awesome way to get in your squats / deadlifts at home! I absolutely love this thing… it doesn’t hurt my lower back like a normal squat bar does.

    It is high quality and very affordable. It fits me perfectly (5 feet 9 inches approximately 160 lbs).

    Note: if you get 45 lbs plates to use with this then you might not be able to dig deep enough to really target those glutes (due to the bigger diameter). I decided I was going to purchase a bunch of 25 lbs plates instead.
